Corporate Transparency
When you pay for therapy at Denver Psychology Associates, you're supporting more than the hour you spend with your therapist. You're supporting a small, independently owned practice—and helping us invest in the communities, organizations, and causes we believe make those communities stronger.
We believe businesses can have values without expecting every client, clinician, or community member to share them. Our therapists provide care without regard to a client's political beliefs, affiliations, or personal values. This page simply exists because we believe transparency matters.
Where We Give
Girls Inc.
Girls Inc. has been working with and advocating for girls for more than 160 years, with a mission to inspire girls to be “strong, smart, and bold.” Its work includes mentorship, supportive environments, and research-informed programming focused on physical and emotional well-being, education and career readiness, healthy relationships, leadership, self-advocacy, and confidence. Girls Inc.
Denver Psychology Associates supports Girls Inc. because we believe mental health is shaped long before someone enters a therapist's office. Giving girls the tools to understand themselves, develop healthy relationships, advocate for their needs, and recognize their own potential can have effects that extend well into adulthood. As a practice that works extensively with women navigating relationships, identity, self-esteem, family dynamics, and major life transitions, investing in girls feels like investing upstream.
Denver Botanic Gardens
Denver Botanic Gardens is more than a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. Its mission centers on connecting people with plants, with broader work encompassing environmental stewardship, education, sustainable horticulture, food access, conservation, and community programming. The Gardens also operates therapeutic horticulture programming and initiatives focused on water stewardship and increasing access to fresh, healthy food.
Denver Psychology Associates is proud to support an institution that contributes to the health, beauty, sustainability, and cultural life of the community we call home. We believe well-being extends beyond what happens in a therapy room. Access to nature, public spaces, education, art, and community institutions all contribute to making Denver a healthier and more connected place to live.

Political Giving
Denver Psychology Associates also believes that corporate transparency should include political giving. The practice has financially supported James Talarico, a former public-school teacher and current Texas legislator who is running for the U.S. Senate in 2026. His campaign emphasizes public education, health care, affordability, democracy and political corruption, family and faith, labor, public safety, technology, and other issues affecting working families.
Our support reflects an appreciation for his emphasis on public education, accessible health care, economic opportunity, and a political philosophy that speaks explicitly about finding common ground across differences. Talarico has framed his campaign around the idea that people do not need to share a political party, race, gender, or religion to recognize one another's dignity or work toward stronger communities.
We disclose this contribution precisely because political donations are different from charitable giving. Clients should be able to know when a company they financially support chooses to use some of its resources to support a political candidate.

Community Reach Center
Some of our giving happens a little closer to home—and doesn’t always come in the form of a check.
Denver Psychology Associates is proud to support Community Reach Center, a nonprofit community mental health provider serving children, adults, and families throughout the Denver metro area. An important part of Community Reach Center's work is providing behavioral health services to people who rely on Medicaid and other public resources for their care.
That matters to us. Private practice gives us opportunities that aren't always available within community mental health, but we believe a person's ability to access quality mental healthcare shouldn't depend entirely on their ability to pay private-practice rates. Supporting organizations that maintain access for Medicaid populations is one way we can contribute to a broader mental-health system beyond the clients we personally serve.
Our support has included donating food and partnering with Community Reach Center to host wellness events for its staff. We know firsthand that caring for other people can take a toll on the people doing the caring—particularly clinicians working in community settings with high demand and limited resources.
Supporting Community Reach Center allows us to invest in both sides of that equation: the continued availability of mental healthcare for underserved and Medicaid-covered communities, and the well-being of the professionals providing that care.

What This Means for Your Therapy
Absolutely nothing.
You don't need to vote like us, donate like us, worship like us, or agree with us.
Our political and charitable giving does not determine who is welcome here or how therapy is provided. Your therapist's job is not to convince you to adopt their worldview. Therapy should be a place where your beliefs, relationships, goals, and decisions can be explored honestly—even when they're different from ours.
Transparency goes both ways.
We'll keep this page updated as our giving changes. We won't pretend a business exists outside the world around it, and we won't ask our clients to guess where we stand.
You choose your therapist. You choose your values. And you should be able to choose where your money goes with good information.
